Please note that we are not a crisis service, if you are in immediate danger, please call 999. 

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact the Pennine Care 24h helpline on 0800 014 995, or present at A&E. You can also call Samaritans on 116 123 (24h), text SHOUT to 85258 or call 111 and select the mental health option (2) to speak with trained professionals who can provide immediate support and guidance.

If your concern is about Domestic Abuse, you can contact the NCDV (National Centre for Domestic Violence) on 0800 970 2070 (24h)

Open Door provides people living in Stockport access to fast mental health and wellbeing support tailored to individual needs. You do not need a referral into Open Door and you can contact them directly. 

You also don’t need an appointment to visit Open Door. You can visit anytime during their opening hours – Monday – Friday: 10am – 5:30pm, Saturday – Sunday: 12pm – 5pm

How To Register

A member of our team will go through the registration process with you, which takes about 15 minutes. We’ll ask for a few details, such as how to contact you etc. and then ask you a few questions to find out what support you might need.

If you need more support you might need an assessment of your needs. In that case, we’ll then arrange an appointment.

‍This is a full needs assessment looking at all areas of need and potential support we can provide following the assessment, you’ll be referred to the appropriate team who can give you the help that you’ve requested and are suitable for.

If you just want to get involved with one of our social groups such as the Art or Walking Group then you only need to be registered, you do not need to undergo a full assessment.
