Looking After Your Data

Our privacy notice explains how we use and store your data following an assessment at The Women’s Centre Stockport

When you first start using The Women’s Centre, you’ll be asked to come in for an assessment. This is so we can explore where you need help, where you’re already strong and how we can best support you.

If you are using the women’s centre following Criminal Justice involvement (such through probation or police liaison and diversion schemes) we’ll be using the Women’s Risk Needs Assessment (WRNA).

If you are accessing the women’s centre for anything else, such as debt, domestic abuse or mental health support, we’ll be using the Gendered Wellbeing Assessment (GWA).

Both are detailed assessments which cover different areas of your life. The assessment will take approximately two hours.

For both assessments, we’re working with the University of Birmingham as part of the Effective Women’s Centres Partnership. Below is a summary document of how The Women’s Centre Stockport, the University of Birmingham and funders the JABBS Foundation will use the information you provide during your assessment along with a fuller privacy statement giving more detail.
